Alibi Room – Downtown

85 Pike St #410 | Downtown

Open: 12–2  daily
Happy Hour: 12-6 daily

We had left Rachel’s Ginger Beer looking for a bar named Zig Zag, and accidentally found Alibi Room first, so we decided to check it out.

Our second Post Alley bar of the evening, Alibi Room is located across from the famous “gum wall” and just looks like a cool place to grab a drink. Its looks are not deceiving. The Alibi Room is one big room with a divider separating the bar area from a dining section, kept simple, cool, and classy with dim lighting and R&B ranging from Marvin Gaye to Andre 3000.

We sat ourselves at a table in the dining section under one of the many colorful works of “art” for sale.

Our server was casual and funny, and was a part of the following interaction:

ADAM: How’s the 206 Martini?

SERVER: Well, it’s straight-up booze.

MANDY: I’ll have that!

Adam opted for a Winter Tea. Both drinks were stronger than Arnold Schwarzenegger, and were the only ones needed at this stop. We ordered a crab dip appetizer to help soak up the booze.

ABANDON ALL HOPE, YE WHO ENTER HERE! The restrooms are located in a cold and damp, concrete dungeon down a flight of stairs.

Another Round? Seattle Bar HoppersANOTHER ROUND?

This is a great place to bring an out-of-town friend while on an obligatory Pike Place visit, and the prices are reasonable enough to make this a frequent watering hole.
